Psychic Services was created in 1981 by Elizabeth and Gary Nichols to educate
people in life management from a unique, twofold perspective:
Elizabeth Nichols, from the perspective of a psychic gifted from early
childhood, and Gary Nichols, Ph.D., MS Ed., currently with 30 years experience
in mental health and education. Their common belief is that people have
all the necessary power and resources to successfully manage their lives and
that problems occur when, for any number of dysfunctional reasons, they
surrender, ignore or deny responsibility for those natural processes and
capabilities.
**We avoid using definitive terminology to define many aspects of the manifestation of these abilities. We know from experience that the part of the brain that Elizabeth uses creates images that communicate through HER belief systems. We believe this is true for all people. We work very hard to preface our terminology, particularly working with others with psychic gifts and most particularly children. These images will be filtered through an individual's belief system and translated into images that reflect their belief system. While the images and mental constructs are different, we believe that the information is the same. See the research page to see how these concepts are applicable to our research processes.
We do work with others that may or may not use definitive terms when expressing their views and abilities. We always make it clear that we do not. A Christian with abilities would logically receive information translated into images commensurate with their faith and belief systems. In preparation for a reading, Elizabeth often gets images that hint of a clients particular beliefs and she can translate it with symbols that they can understand. We actively attempt to maintain an open and inquisitive view and study all belief systems and religions.
Elizabeth, with
her unique gifts, is able to, through a series of mental and emotional images,
capture an accurate psychic map of the issues and processes involved with a
persons experiences. This is NOT, in our belief, a portrait of a
predestined future. It is, rather, a snapshot of the persons CURRENT
state and related influences. Any information that relates to the
person’s “future” is in the context of the current systems being maintained and
continued.
The life management task becomes, therefore, education and re-education
relative to one’s systems, beliefs and motives that determine all of our
realities. We do not support and will aggressively oppose any type of
life management intervention that incorporate techniques aimed at usurping
individual’s power and responsibility to make free choices about their lives.
